An attractive 19th-century English sterling silver castle-top snuff box by Taylor & Perry of Birmingham, featuring a finely detailed relief scene of Windsor Castle.The rectangular hinged lid depicts the castle and surrounding landscape, framed by an ornate scrolling foliate border. The underside features intricate engine-turned decoration, a matching decorative border, and a blank rectangular cartouche with no personal engraving.The box opens to reveal a beautifully contrasting gold-gilt interior.
