1919 Winchester New Rival Paper Shot Shell Box – 12 Gauge – Flat Unassembled Cardboard
Early Winchester New Rival paper shot shell box packaging featuring bold black lettering, a red Winchester trademark, and a detailed illustration of the New Rival paper shotshell.
Manufactured for the Winchester Repeating Arms Company of New Haven, Connecticut, this packaging is marked for 100 New Rival 12-gauge, 2 5/8-inch paper shot shells.
The lower portion bears printing code \"2110 9-19,\" believed to indicate September 1919, along with the May 17, 1892 patent date.
This attractive piece of early Winchester advertising and ammunition packaging would make an excellent addition to a Winchester memorabilia, sporting history, or historical ammunition box unassembled cardboard packaging showing age-related toning, light surface wear, and minor edge wear. Small edge nicks are visible along the lower edge. The black and red printing remains strong and legible.
The piece is displayed in a protective sleeve with white backing.
Please examine all photographs carefully for the exact condition.
