1928 Carnegie Institute Of Technology Interscholastic Track Meet Discus Medal. This rare 1928 bronze medal is from the Annual Interscholastic Track Meet medal held at the Carnegie Institute Of Technology (now Carnegie Mellon University). It was awarded for discus throw. The central design on the front of the medal depicts a high-relief athlete clearing a hurdle. Beneath the runner is an enamel shield displaying the year 1928 in colors. Beside the shield is the Carnegie Institute of Technology Pittsburgh Pennsylvania official seal. The text on the reverse reads, \"DISCUS THROW\" and stamped at bottom on reverse is the maker\'s hallmark, \"THE HGS CO. PHILA.\" The medal measures approximately 1.75\" long by 1.25\" wide.
