Vintage 1970s Pentel Excalibur EX-12 pen and pencil gift set, made in Japan. Includes the fine point liquid ink ball pen and matching 0.7 mm automatic pencil in the original hard presentation case with original insert/instruction card.
The insert confirms this set was available in brushed silver, brushed gold, and black/gold metal finishes. This set is the brushed silver finish. The insert also shows a 1978 Pentel of America copyright, making this a true 1970s vintage set.
The pen and pencil appear unused/new old stock with very clean tips and minimal handling wear. The case shows age/storage wear on the outside, and the interior paper insert area has tearing/peeling from age. Original paper insert has fold lines and wear from storage.
