Appearance detail: Raw, not in a holder. The swatch shows two colors -- a royal blue band along the upper left breaking diagonally into thick white knit -- which is a genuine step up from a plain single-color swatch. Two or three small black specks sit on the white area. No letter, number, or logo in the material. The bottom edge and bottom-right show a line of white chipping along the gold border; the other corners are reasonably sharp. No crease.
Worth knowing: The two-color patch was verified at high resolution to describe it precisely.
Player career: Sanders rushed for 15,269 yards in just 10 seasons with Detroit, still fourth on the all-time list, and made the Pro Bowl in every year he played. He was co-NFL MVP in 1997 after a 2,053-yard season and was a six-time first-team All-Pro. He retired abruptly in 1999 at age 31, still within reach of the career rushing record, and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2004.
