Antique Victorian-era cabinet card featuring a formal profile portrait of a young woman, photographed by J. A. Pfeifer of Columbus, Ohio, located at 262 & 264 S. High Street. The studio imprint identifies Pfeifer as “Successor to J. Urlin.”
A particularly attractive feature is the ornate landscape-oriented photographer backmark, which includes decorative lettering, an early camera illustration, studio advertising, Columbus address, and telephone number.
Estimated to date to the late 1800s, approximately the 1890s. The photograph shows age-related fading, discoloration/foxing, spotting, and wear to the card and corners, as pictured. Please review all photos closely for condition.
