Antique 1910s Handphone Car Horn by Automobile Supply Mfg Co Brooklyn:
$200.00
This is a remarkable piece of early automotive history: a \'Handphone\' manual hand-cranked car horn manufactured by The Automobile Supply Mfg. Co. of Brooklyn, NY. Dating from the early 20th century, typically found on Brass Era vehicles, this mechanical horn operates via a hand-activated plunger or crank mechanism to produce its signature loud warning sound. The horn features a classic flared trumpet design constructed from heavy-gauge metal. The original brass identification plate is still attached, clearly showing the manufacturer\'s name, \'Handphone\' branding, and patent information. This item is a quintessential collectible for early automobile enthusiasts or collectors of industrial Americana. Its rugged construction and historical provenance make it a fantastic display piece or a restoration project for a period-correct vintage vehicle. Finding these with the original nameplate intact is increasingly difficult, making this a sought-after item for automobilia collectors.
