This is a large antique family Bible with an ornate embossed cover, gilt lettering, illustrated pages, and handwritten family genealogy/history entries from previous owners.
The publication page states: “Entered according to Act of Congress, in the year 1892…”
Condition:
This Bible is approximately 134 years old and shows significant age-related wear. The covers have heavy rubbing, leather loss, edge wear, and deterioration. The binding/hinges are separated and have older repairs, as shown in the photos. Pages show age toning, spotting, and general wear. Because of the age and binding condition, this is best considered a collectible, display, genealogy, or restoration piece.
