Offered to you is this gorgeous Burmese glass in the Bamboo Design by Mt. Washington in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Made sometime between 1885 and 1900. Burmese glass was created using a formula that included uranium oxide and gold, giving it the delicate pink to yellow shading.
This vase has bamboo leaves painted on it and outlined in heavy gold. See close-up photos.
Unfortunately, the neck of this exquisite vase is broken. It can be repaired but it still looks nice the way it is. I bought it at an sale and I didn't even notice the neck was broken. I was drawn to the beauty of it.
