Antique matching pair of framed art prints after Raphael, featuring two figures from the Hours of the Day and Night series.
The pair includes:
“Ora terza di giorno” — Third Hour of the Day
“Ora seconda di notte” — Second Hour of the Night
Both prints are marked along the bottom:
“Photogr. u. Verlag v. P. & O. Brockmann’s Nachfolger.”
Based on the publisher imprint, typography, and photographic reproduction style, these appear to date to the late 19th or very early 20th century, approximately 1890–1910.
Each piece is housed in a matching gold-tone frame measuring approximately 6” x 8”.
These are antique photographic/printed reproductions after Raphael, not original Raphael works. The dark backgrounds, classical figures, and small decorative landscape panels give the pair a striking old-world appearance.
Condition shows age-related wear consistent with antique pieces, including toning, spotting/foxing to the paper, and light wear/scuffs to the frames. Please review all photos carefully for exact condition.
Sold as a matching pair.
