Virtue, London.Based on the surviving publisher information and known editions, this volume dates to approximately the 1860s, making it roughly 160+ years old.This impressive oversized volume features detailed biblical commentary along with numerous period illustrations and full-page steel engravings, including religious scenes such as Christ Lamenting Over Jerusalem. This Bible is being sold AS-IS in severely distressed antique condition. The binding and spine have significant deterioration and separation. There are loose/detached covers page, torn and damaged pages2, staining, discoloration, heavy soiling and other deterioration consistent with substantial age and poor historical storage.
