Description
Beautiful antique circa 1900–1920 carved shell cameo set in 10K yellow gold, dating to the late Victorian/Edwardian to early 20th-century period. The hand-carved female profile is surrounded by an unusually elaborate gold frame with twisted rope-wire detailing and dimensional decorative accents.
Designed as a convertible pin and pendant, with a folding pendant bail on the reverse. Measures approximately 1 1/4” long × 1” wide and weighs 5.44 grams total.
The pin closes securely and holds tightly in the clasp. The small secondary safety/locking piece is currently stiff/frozen and does not move. It has intentionally been left untouched rather than forced, repaired, or replaced, preserving the original hardware.
