This is Morgan Dennis\'s best-known image. Two Scotties tilttheir heads and ask to be fed without a sound. Texaco bought the rights to thepicture for a 1932 advertising campaign, and Dennis\'s Scotties for Black &White Scotch whisky made the breed a symbol of the era. Dennis (1892 to 1960)was a Boston-born illustrator and author of dog books who is still one of themost collected American dog artists.

CONDITION: Strong, dark impression. The mat has toning andbrown staining along the bottom edge, shown in the photos; a new mat would makeit look fresh. Frame has normal rubs. Not removed from the frame.
