Gorgeous 41.2 mm F+++/GEM specimen featuring exceptionally attractive dense brown spotting over a creamy ground. The shell displays excellent gloss, a clean white base, sharply defined teeth and beautiful overall form and presentation.
This specimen is accompanied by its original collection label, identifying it as Cypraea turdus from the Gulf of Aden, Djibouti, collected by a local diver at 3 meters depth. Ex Myshellguy Collection. The original label grades the specimen F+++G.
Current taxonomy places the species in the genus Naria as Naria turdus. The historical Cypraea turdus name from the original collection label is retained here for reference.
