Shipping: I know shipping has gotten pricey. I can\'t help that. I try to make it as cheap as possible with box size but I have had a couple of recent items damaged. So I will use bigger boxes and double box when possible. It will add more to the shipping but that is the reality now. Thanks.
Gorgeous pair of antique mid to late 19th century French Empire style glass or crystal vases with mounted bronze ormolu. Each vase is about 16\" tall and have a long neck where the mounted bronze comes up to nearly 4\" from the top of each urn and the ormolu has a leaf pattern with a partial wrap around the back of each vase.
They are quite elegant and come from the estate of a French lady who moved to the states in the 1930\'s. Unmarked but in the style of Baccarat and as you can see this is great quality. The vases are 16\" tall, the base 5 3/8\" x 3 3/8\". The mouth on each is about 2 3/4\" x 2\" x 1 1/2\".
The vase is unmarked, however, it has all the characteristics of Baccarat glass from this period.
Condition: excellent for their age with appropriate wear, small chip on mouth of one (see photo) and a couple of bubbles from the moulding/blowing process. Normal shelf wear on bottom. Very nice the pair weighs 4 1/2 lbs before shipping.
