The map area is complemented by an elaborate figurative cartouche, a coat of arms, a legend and a mile marker. The very rare map comes from the large-format special atlas of Silesia \"Atlas Silesiae Id Est Ducatus Silesiae...\", created during the reign of Charles VI. developed by the scholar Johann Wolfgang Wieland and published by Homann Erben around 1750.

This is a genuine, rare and very detailed copper enraved map of the principality of Grodków (Grottkau) in Upper Silesia. The map still shows it\'s decorative original colors. It was published by Homann heirs in 1750 in the scarce and large special atlas of Silesia \"Atlas Silesiae Id Est Ducatus Silesiae....\". The depicted area stretches from Grodków the North to Jägerndorf (Krnov) in the South and from Habelschward in the West to Leobschütz (Głubczyce) in the East. Neisse (Nysa) is located in the center. The map is further enriched by an elaborate cartouche with a coat of arms, a milescale and a key. It measures 56 x 82 cm (platesize) and is in good condition with some light browning due to age and a few stains in the margin areas.
