In daylight, this elongated Franklin piece shows a dark gray-purple hardystonite-rich surface with pale creamy patches of matrix scattered across the face — a subdued exterior that belies the fluorescent display waiting under UV.Under shortwave, the specimen ignites into a broad field of vivid electric green willemite that dominates the top of the piece, with midnight blue-purple hardystonite pockets showing through in patches and along the lower edge. The willemite forms a dense, textured crust across most of the surface, making for a striking two-color display in a long, display-friendly profile. Under longwave, the willemite continues to respond with a softer green while the hardystonite response is much more subdued.⸻🌍 Composition
