- Exterior: Khaki/olive cloth boards display heavy wear. The cloth is worn completely through at the corners, exposing the underlying boards. The head and tail of the spine are heavily frayed with small tears. There are minor white scuff marks visible on the front board and spine.
- Binding: Binding is tight and intact but shows signs of a slight lean.
- Interior: Pages show typical age-toning. There is noticeable foxing (age spots) and brown staining on the title page and early text pages (such as the Prologue). A previous owner\'s prominent signature is written in ink on the front endpaper. The brilliant J.C. Leyendecker color plates remain vibrant, intact, and well-preserved.
