Weekly Shonen Jump 1998 No.9: Takehiko Inoue\'s 39-page color one-shot 「ピアス」 (Piercing), billed on the cover as his eagerly awaited new work — the first thing Inoue published in Jump after SLAM DUNK ended in 1996, and never reprinted in a Jump Comics volume.

The cover and lead color go to JoJo\'s Bizarre Adventure Part 5 (Giorno) for the series\' 11th anniversary, and the issue also carries ONE PIECE and Hoshin Engi in center color, HUNTER x HUNTER\'s predecessors, Rurouni Kenshin and Yu-Gi-Oh!.

Inoue one-shots and JoJo anniversary covers are both collected in their own right; this issue has both, from the ONE PIECE debut year.
