A \'FRAME & DISPLAY\' ITEMJohnFoxe (1516 –1587) was an English historian and martyrologist, the author ofActes and Monuments (popularly known as Foxe\'s Book of Martyrs), an account ofChristian martyrs throughout Western history but emphasizing the sufferings ofEnglish Protestants and proto-Protestants from the fourteenth century throughthe reign of Mary I. Widely owned and read by English Puritans, the book helpedmould British popular opinion about the Catholic Church for several centuries.

• Extract:defined as a piece of literary work that has been removed from a largervolume. This may consist of complete chapters, several pages, or evenone single page. It also may consist of an entire book or pamphlet thathas its own title page but was bound together with other works in alarge volume. Since the extract has been removed from a binding it may appearsomewhat rough along the edge where it was bound; however, this willnormally be well outside ofthe text area.
  
• Title Pages:Since most books only have one title page with the print date and theauthor\'s name; I will include a printed copy with the extract(s) to authenticate the print date.
  
• Frame & Display Items:Many of the \'extracts\' that I sell are from very rare or early editions of a printing. These \'extracts\' can make great wall hangings if properly framed and matted; perhaps including a picture of the author which can make for a stunning display.
