Rare 1641 Hippocrates Aphorisms Beautiful copy full vellum tight binding & Cover For Sale

A larger than normal 1641 copy of Hippocrates Aphorisms in full vellum covers. I\'ve bought bought a bunch of these over the decades it\'s a premium example.The binding and covers are very tight. The spine is in good shape so it displays well on the shelf. The rear cover has a stain as does the title page. The main text has age darkening and some stains but minimal for it\'s age. The covers are beautiful vellum that look original. The binding must have been professionally worked on at some point. The book is very tight unlike most of these. Aphorisms are usually very well used often to the point of covers detached. Most of these really old Aphorisms were pocket sized books. This one is larger at roughly 6.5 by 4 inches. I\'ve bought bought a bunch of these over the decades it\'s a premium example.Text is in Latin and Greek as is common for these old Aphorisms copies.This would make fantastic gift for a Doctor or Medical Graduate.
