Offered here is a rare 1641 French jeton from the reign of Louis XIII.
One side shows an anchor with what appears to be a sea-monster or serpentine creature around it. The date 1641 is visible below.
The other side features a crowned royal shield with three fleurs-de-lis, a classic symbol of the French monarchy.
This is an interesting 1600s French royal jeton with an unusual maritime-style design. The piece shows age-appropriate wear, dark toning, surface marks, and some roughness, but the main details remain visible. Please review the photos carefully for condition.
